How to become a volunteer

We are looking for volunteers with special skills and qualities as well as with specific knowledge and capabilities. Do you enjoy planning events, such as charity concerts or other charity events for the benefit of the Berliner Tafel society? Do you have innovative ideas for our growing Tafel-network? Would you like to participate in the LAIB und SEELE project or you would you prefer to help out in the Kids' Restaurant? We are looking for people who can handle stress, who can cope with our chaotic creativity and who are keen to support us here and there.

We need people who are physically capable to carry out the work and who possibly own a car which they can use when they have to be sent on a mission. We need people who enjoy working with people and who are aware that this is not a place where they can hope to find a quiet club atmosphere. We need creative people, who can also think around the corner in order to reach their goal. We need people like you! If you feel that you fit the above profile, then we look forward to meeting you at one of our next information evenings.

Apart from that you can help us with food donations. The food must be fresh, in a condition to be used as a food donation and edible, and it must meet the quality requirements according to the law (no food that has gone past the best before date please).

We are also happy to receive money donations, as these donations help us to cover our monthly bills (ca. € 15,000) for petrol, staff, insurances, taxes, repairs, postage, stationery, telephone charges etc.
